Nobby Graves is a working class man, with a wife and several kids, living in Grimsby. His brother, Sebastian, went missing 28 years ago and he hasn't seen him since. Little does he know that Sebastian is now a secret agent with MI6. Sebastian is currently working on foiling an attempt by a terrorist organisation to disrupt a prestigious event and kill a famous actress and social activist. Nobby goes to the event to meet Sebastian but hinders Sebastian's operation, making Sebastian look like the perpetrator of a terrorist act. Trying to track down the actual terrorists while on the run from the law, the two brothers now need to rely on each other more than ever. A new assignment forces a top spy to team up with his football hooligan brother. I freaking loved this film. You will also love it if you like laughing at very very stupid things. You will absolutely hate it if you are easily offended.<br/><br/>It is best to not know anything about this film before you watch it so I won't include any spoilers. I knew nothing about it other than the fact that it was a Sasha Baron Cohen thing - the man can do no wrong in my eyes so I suppose I was an easy audience. I did wonder if quite a lot of the jokes would be missed by an American audience though, but the fab action scenes are universally awesome.<br/><br/>If you have had a bad day then simply watch this film and laugh away your troubles. The Brother's Grimsby continued Sasha Cohen's grotesque raunchiness on screen. Resembling very little in comparison to the folktales of the Brother's Grimm indicated Sasha's creative sense of irony and humor. There were plenty of sexual allusions and antics. Borad seemed PG after this look at low class English soccer hooligans and the bonds tested amongst family, world peace, and corruption. If MTV's Jack Ass had a storyline, then the Brother's Grimsby may have been the outcome. Amy Nicholson phrased the spectacle this way "Like last year's Kingsman: The Secret Service, The Brothers Grimsby is a spit-wad at U.K. classism embedded in a spy caper." The comedy is as broad as it could be, knee-deep in political incorrectness and bad taste. But as ever with Cohen, it's fueled by such imagination and daft abandon that what ought to be offensive becomes hilarious.
